Contract 1 AWTF- Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility (AWTF)

AWTF Contract 1 began in January 2022. The contractor completing this work is Posillico-Bove. The subsurface recharge area has been completed and the AWTF is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2024. 

Below is a picture of how AWTF will look once it's built.

Contract 2 LPS North - Installation of Low Pressure Sewers (LPS) in the Streets

Contract 2 - Low Pressure Sewers North began in January 2022 and the Contractor is Posillico-Bove. The Contractor will perform the following work activities in this order:

  • Stakeout existing utilities (water, gas, electric, etc) within the project areas using various forms of field markers, including but not limited to wooden stakes, PK nails, ribbon, flags, and paint. 

  • Once the utilities are marked, test pits will be excavated in the street to verify the locations of existing utilities.

  • Excavation of the street and installation of the new sewer main.

  • Excavation to install the new sewer lateral from the new sewer main to the property line of each residence.

  • Restoration of the disturbed areas.

  • Repaving of the streets.

 

The map on the right provides anticipated staging of the work. Residents will be provided with 72-hour minimum advance notice with door hangers when work is to be initiated in their area. An example of the door hanger in English and Spanish is provided below.

Contract 2 LPS

Contract 3 LPS East - Installation of Low Pressure Sewers (LPS) in the Streets

Contract 3 - Low Pressure Sewers East began in January 2022 and the Contractor is Peter Scalamandre & Sons. The Contractor will perform the following work activities in this order:

  • Stakeout existing utilities (water, gas, electric, etc) within the project areas using various forms of field markers, including but not limited to wooden stakes, PK nails, ribbon, flags, and paint. 

  • Once the utilities are marked, test pits will be excavated in the street to verify the locations of existing utilities.

  • Excavation of the street and installation of the new sewer main.

  • Excavation to install the new sewer lateral from the new sewer main to the property line of each residence.

  • Restoration of the disturbed areas.

  • Repaving of the streets.
